Mr Stewart commented:
“This was a first class lobby of the Parliament by the campaign group.
The campaigners presented a very successful petition and put forward a strong case for the upgrading of the A82. The advantages are clear –the economic development of the area, increased tourism and the importance of safety to cut the dreadful toll of deaths and injuries on this road.
The campaign impressed MSPs and, in particular, the young people’s calls gave resonance to the need for change to this road for the next generation.”
